[ Mako is getting very, very worried.

Wu hasn’t responded to him. Mako texted him half an hour ago, and he was supposed to be home a full hour and a half ago.

The light has faded, leaving the sky a dusky blue fading into sharp black, and Mako is on the porch, trying not to panic. Maybe Wu just got caught up. It happens. Evelyn will know. ]

Is Wu still at work? I haven’t heard from him in a while.

[ By this point, Wu is definitely not still at work. But Mako doesn’t know that. ]

I think Mako told you, but I died. So I'm pretty sick right now. So I don't think I can come in to work for a while :(
