Evelyn is being canon updated to the second movie, The Mummy Returns! Notable changes below. 8 years have passed between the events of the first and second movie.
She is far more confident in the second movie, and has grown as a person and a mother. She is a married woman, intellectual, and is currently being begged by scholars to run the British Museum.
Evelyn has always been intelligent and adaptable, determined and brave, and during movie two, we see someone much more sure of herself and her abilities. She loses her clumsy awkwardness, and changes into someone who is far more confident. Evelyn hasn't lost her sense of adventure, either - right at the opening of TMR, she and Rick and their son Alex are excavating a tomb (because of her dreams) and encounter grave robbers, and nearly drown in the process.
We also learn she's a reincarnated Egyptian princess, and now comes with a new set of memories that both are and aren't hers. Nefertiti trained most of her life for the honor of protecting her father, a task that she ultimately lost to Anak-Su-Namun. Instead, Nefertiti was tasked with protecting the Bracelet of Anubis.
It's also important to note she's married and has a son that she deeply loves, and is extremely protective over. It will be strange for her to come to Deer Country and come to terms with knowing all of that is another version of her life, because both her son and husband are very real to her.
( + ) independent/brave - Evelyn has been a very independent woman most of her life. Her parents were killed in a plane wreck (likely due to a mummy's curse; in her world, her father is the one who found King Tut), and living as her own as a woman in the 20s in Egypt she has had to fend for herself for a few years now. It's unlikely she and her brother lived together in the first movie, but in the second he does live in the mansion she owns with her husband, Rick.
In Deerington, she arrived in a similar manner - alone, confused, in a hellscape dreamworld where she didn't know a soul. She lived in a large home by herself, and made friends when she could. She has ridden polar bears, had her heart shoved back into her chest by her friend Mako, and didn't die during the end, which she supposes is all she can really ask for.
( + ) Loyal - Evelyn is a generally levelheaded woman that doesn't panic or lose her cool during a fight. She's grown into the kind of woman who doesn't really take anyone's shit, and will throw down with anyone who threatens her loved ones. She fights Anak-Su-Namun at the end of TMR after dying and being resurrected, which is something she doesn't get to really dwell on in the movie. When contacted by her friend Mako in regards to a friend and employee, Wu, who was missing she immediately lept into action, searching the streets and doing her best to help find him.
( - ) absent minded; Despite being someone who is more confident and strong willed and independent in TMR, Evelyn can still be a little absent minded. She very easily gets distracted both in her tasks and in her husband, which can cause powerful repercussions. It results in her son being kidnapped, and in Deerington Evelyn nearly set her house on fire trying to cook and talk at the same time. while Sam Winchester watched in horror.
( - ) reckless; Evelyn, while levelheaded and intelligent, is kind of a reckless person. She doesn't think twice about reading from a book of the dead after they found a gooey mummy and were shot at and nearly killed by the medjai who pretty literally said do not do that, resulting in the mummy shenanigans of the first movie.
In Deerington, she didn't hesitate to walk out into into danger to look for Wu, and she rode a polar bear around in December's event, trying to help people who needed it. She sometimes seems to lack in regards to her personal safety.
Deer Country Attributes

Below is a list of languages she can speak, read, and translate (other than English):
Modern Standard Arabic
Modern and Ancient Greek
Coptic (essentially Egyptian language written with the Greek alphabet)
Ancient Egyptian
Hieratic (cursive writing system used for Ancient Egyptian).

German
Evelyn also retains memories from her past life; she is skilled with Egyptian daggers and spears, and holds those memories of a warrior who trained most of her life in hand to hand combat.
• Blood Type: Paleblood
• Omen: black sphynx cat
• Blessed Day: 9/22
• Patron Pthumerian: Never Mind
• Blood Power Manifestation:
dream manipulation; Evelyn will be able to create and shape the dreams of both herself and other sleepers. She can also manipulate and control the dreams, modifying, creating, manifesting, and influencing both normal dreams and nightmares. She can also trap someone in REM. These powers can be used for good and/or evil, but Evelyn isn't a bad person and would therefore use her ability to help others, and encourage spiritual and emotional healing during sleep and within dreams.
empathy; She can also sense, manipulate, and interpret other Sleeper's emotions without seeing any visible symptoms. This includes Sleeper's feelings and moods and their effects on said Sleeper. She can increase, decrease, or manifest emotional energy, and can generate feelings of calmness or anxiety, pleasure or mental anguish, or any other various emotion. (yes, evelyn can probably give you an orgasm.)
psychic shield; Evelyn can create a psychic shield around her mind and anyong within a ten foot radius, preventing unwanted invasion of the mind.
Psychometry; Evelyn can obtain memories or sensations in regards to objects she picks up and holds. With this ability, she gains knowledge about the objects including makers, memories, what has been done to it and how it was used.
telepathic communication; What it says on the tin. Evelyn can communicate telepathically with other Sleepers if she chooses.
Her dream manip, empathy, and mental shields use a lot of energy and will leave her fatigued and in need of rest. The moonlight will speed this process up, especially if it's a powerful moon.

A quaint, charming 2 story bookstore fixated mostly on a wide range of history and nonfiction books, as well as a large variety of tastes in regards to fiction. There are also quite a lot of books on the arcane - be careful what book you open!
It is entirely possible to find your characters canon (or that of others, permissions providing) inside. The shop appears old and dusty, but charming and cozy. Everyone is welcome to sit a spell and read. There is a small coffee bar that offers free regular coffee and hot chocolate, as well as pastries (these are offered for a small price), and a handwritten sign that says please don't spill on the books. Beer and wine can be purchased by those of age (18).
There is a small fireplace with several old, comfortable (lumpy) chairs and numerous throws so that patrons can curl up with a book and stay warm in the cold months.

History: https://mummy.fandom.com/wiki/Evelyn_O%27Connell
CRAU History and Impact: N/A
Personality:
Born in London to adventurous, well-educated parents, Evelyn was destined for a life if not of posh aristocracy, then at least one of comforts. Her parents were not 'elite', but they certainly had some money, and were quite the inspiration to their young daughter. Her father was a famed explorer who loved Egypt with breathless abandon; he lived it and breathed it and loved it so much that he married an Egyptian beauty. Evelyn states that her mother shared her fathers passions, and her parents obviously influenced young Evelyn a great deal.
Her rapt interest in Egypt began when she was a little girl, starting when she discovered the existence of the Book of Amun-Ra. She's curious and intellectual and determined, devoting her life's purpose to the study of Ancient Egypt (in pursuit of said book, for the history, of course – never you mind it’s mad of pure gold). Most young children dream of becoming doctors, lawyers, actors, dancers; being a product of her time, Evelyn probably ought to have been dreaming of marriage and babies, but she was far more interested in other matters that she deemed of great importance. She has a curious and inquiring mind and a love for all things past, and did not have the patience to spend on love affairs.
Evelyn is young and optimistic when we meet her in the beginning of the film. Her application to Bembridge school is denied by the scholars, but Evelyn's statement of “the Bembridge scholars have rejected my application form again” tells us she has applied numerous times – she knows she deserves to get in, despite a lack of actual field experience. Being told no isn't in her vocabulary – she's stubborn, strong willed, and eager to prove herself, despite the distinct disadvantage of being a woman in 1923 Egypt. She is disappointed by the rejection of course, but resolute in the knowledge that she does have what it takes, no matter what those scholars might think of her.
(She does get her due, at least - in the Mummy Returns, her prowess and experiences finally have said scholars begging her to run the British Museum. Take that, Bembridge scholars!)
While it's noted her parents were explorers and adventurers, Evelyn is quite the adventurer herself – she doesn't hesitate to drag her brother to the prison where she meets O'Connell. Her only goal is to pick his brain for the location of Hamunaptra, and she doesn’t give a moment’s thought to her own personal safety. Egyptian prisons in the 20s were not a pretty place and were certainly no place for a woman – and yet she picks her way over her brother to get close enough for O'Connell to kiss her and demand his freedom.
Even when O’Connell crosses these lines, she isn't afraid of him. Evelyn is far more interested in history and knowledge than she is her own self-preservation, it seems. They don't know why Rick is in prison, only that he is, and without hesitation she bargains away 25% of their hypothetical spoils to save the life of a man she doesn't know - because of his internal map to Hamunaptra. There is logic in this decision, of course – she isn't without rationality or common sense, even if her decisions tend to be reckless and not particularly well thought out (and do have an uncanny knack for coming back to bite her in the ass).
Part of the reason this seems to be the case? Evelyn doesn’t believe in fairy tales or hocus pocus, and she dislikes scaremongering. She is a very grounded person, despite being an adventurous soul and a deep thinker. She's logical, and doesn't give any thought to the fact that Hamunaptra is supposedly cursed and guarded by a mummy. She is far more interested in the history and knowledge a discovery such as the Book of Amun-Ra would bring (not to mention the notoriety she would receive). Evelyn reads from the black Book of the Dead because it's just that – a book. She doesn't truly believe any harm could come from reading a book – even if it is a locked, creepy looking, black Book of the Dead. She isn't afraid of a lot of things – even when she really, really should be.
That isn't to say she's fearless, of course. While very brave and courageous, when confronted with a zombie mummy, she's rightly terrified. When she comes face to face with a mummified Anck-Su-Namun, she's even more so. Any normal human would be terrified with reanimated mummies trying to kill you.
In a similar vein of general disbelief in hocus pocus, Evelyn is a very passionate, very intellectual individual. She prefers to use her brain rather than feel, which can be surprising to some people as she can come off as more soft and vulnerable. She reads and writes a lot, keeping a journal to document her travels and experiences, and she can always be found with a book in hand. In the Dragon Emperor, she's not really a scholar anymore but an author - which seems a disservice to her, but it's also entirely in the realm of her nature.
She loves animals, traveling especially, and she speaks her mind, damn the consequences. Evelyn isn’t the kind of woman to allow herself to ever be silenced. Evelyn doesn't have much of a filter, and tends to say what she's thinking – especially when she's been drinking. Despite the lack of a filter, she is eloquent, well spoken, generally mild mannered until she's pissed off - in which case, she will tell you precisely what she thinks of you. She is passionate, she is wild and fierce, and absolutely someone you would want on your side.
